FAQ: Is the curiosity of dating a foreign girl common?
ANSWER: More common than you would think! Statistics have show that
as of 1999 more than 5000 marriages were performed in the United States involving
foreign brides.
FAQ: What percentage of women are honest and sincere with their commitment?
ANSWER: Statistics show that 90 % of foreign bride marriages are still
in tact.
FAQ: How realistic is it to search for a bride in a different country?
ANSWER: Very realistic and very common. There are now thousands of
websites that offer contact with foreign women. Most often referred to as
Mail-Order-Brides, dating a foreigner is only as far as the World Wide Web!
People tend to poke fun at internet dating and foreign brides but my advice;
don't knock it until you try it!
FAQ: Is the whole process expensive?
ANSWER: The cost can vary depending on how you intend to pursue a woman.
There will be cost as you are interacting with a woman from a foreign country.
The least expensive is direct contact with a woman without the help of an
agency; however this can be very difficult. Take into account that your new
potential foreign bride may not speak a word of English. You may require an
agency or service to help you interact and communicate. Agencies vary in the
amount of services that they offer. When you consider contact, travel arrangements
and the migration process, you need to be prepared to spend at the very least
$3,000.00 and up. I spent around $10,000.00 which included various trips,
english classes, and immigration costs for my wife and son. Included are those
standard expenses that anyone would expect to spend when going on vacation
for an extended period of time.
FAQ: Why a Foreigner?
ANSWER: This will be a different answer for every man. What are my own
personal reasons? With unsuccessful attempts at relationships here in the
United States, I thought that a foreign bride would have something different
to offer. I was looking for a woman more traditional and found one. Women
are different in foreign countries. I will not speak negative of the American
woman but I will say that foreign women are more traditiona, less liberated
and materialistic. At least that is with my experience.
Every
individual will vary and it is every mans responsiblility to know the woman
that they plan to spend the rest of their life with. A word to the wise...For
every foreign woman looking for a free ticket to the United States is a foolish
man willing to buy her the ticket! Be wise as you would in a relationship
in America. There is bad and good out there. Seek out a good foreign bride!!!!
FAQ: Is making contact difficult?
ANSWER: No, If your computer savvy it is relatively easy. You will find
thousands of links to foreign bride related sites.
FAQ: How much should I pay to an agency?
ANSWER: It depends on what they have to offer. I have a rule of thumb.
I try not to pay for something that is not guaranteed contact. For example,
addresses. I have found websites that allowed me to send mail to women without
paying a fee. Paying a flat rate for contact information can get expensive
and there is no guarantee that they will have any interest in you or even
reply. I like to feel there is actually a real person on the other end wanting
or trying to make contact with you.
Trips to make first contact also vary in price. If there is a fee you should
assume that you will get some kind of service with that fee. With my payment
to the agency, my package included Lodging, a translator, and a chauffeur
for on flat rate price. This is a good way to go. No hidden fees and valuable
services offered in the package. Also remember that our dollar is stronger
than most countries (as much as 30 to 1) and you should expect your trip to
cost less than a normal vacation in the United States. My trip was less than
$1,500.00 (not including airfare) for 2 weeks which included the services

FAQ: What do I bring on my trip?
ANSWER: This is entirely up to you. Plan as if you were going on vacation.
If you are taking a blind trip with an agency nothing out of the ordinary
is required. If you have already been corresponding with a mate in might be
interesting to bring any American novelties that may spark some interest or
good conversation. Also bring lots of pictures of your life experiences i.e.
home hobbies etc. On my second trip I brought various canned foods that the
country I was visiting did not have. Also bring lots of picture of your family
and life in America.
Bring any medication that you may need, i.e. aspirin, and diarrhea medicine!
Remember, a different culture with different food. Your body will let you
know if it's angry with your new diet!!!
FAQ: How different are other cultures?
ANSWER: Very different! In some instances, I felt like I was stepping
onto a new planet. Cultural norms can very drastically. A good example is
me being from southern California and getting off the plane in shorts in the
winter labeled me in Russia as a lunatic and not a southern California surfer…My
advice is “When in Rome, do as the Romans…” Try to blend
as much as possible unless you're striving to be noticed in a crowd. On that
note, remember, not everyone loves Americans. Being humble in certain cases
can be to your advantage.
FAQ: How do I communicate with a foreigner?
ANSWER: The best way that I have found is to use a translator when you
meet your mate and an online translator will be the best tool to interact

FAQ: If my foreign bride has children, will it be more difficult for
them to migrate?
ANSWER: No, It is the same for one or five. You will just have to multiply
the price and paperwork…One important note is to make sure that you
get approval from the children’s releasing parent before attempting
to migrate to the United States. There is a release document required for
them to leave their native country that will have to be signed by the releasing
parent.
FAQ: Should I learn their language?
ANSWER: Is it required? No. Will it help? Yes. It is at the discretion
of the individual. It will make you brownie points with you foreign girl and
also help you navigate around the foreign country that you intend to visit.
I knew no language of the foreign country that I visited and would have been
completely lost had I not had an interpreter. If you have already made contact
with a woman before your trip, you level of communication should be a good
indicator of whether or not you should have a translator on your trip…
FAQ: Are other countries more or less conservative?
ANSWER: Both…In some areas they are more conservative and others
more liberal. The country that I visited was more traditional in family value
and structure, in my opinion. However, I thought more liberal in their dress.
Although, I think that you will find European countries to be more liberal
about nudity yet still conservative in their sexual beliefs. We seem to combine
sex and nudity into one category. A good example is what is the norm? A nude
beach in Europe is looked at much less sexual than a nude beach in the United
States; and then in some countries are prohibited. Don’t plan to see
a nude beach Saudi Arabia any time soon….Come to think of, don’t
plan to see a beach!!!!
FAQ: How will Americans receive my new Foreign Bride?
ANSWER: This will vary by where you live and who you meet. I can only
tell you by my wife and our experiences. We have had somewhat of a cold welcoming
by American woman. Not all, but a majority have been very cold. This is hard
for her to understand but there a number of different factors. The norm is
that the younger American women that are more insecure tend to be jealous
and threatened by the presence of a foreign woman especially if your wife
is attractive. They also make it clear that they don’t want her around
their husbands and themselves. This is something she said that she said has
never been an issue in her country. On the contrary, Her friends that live
in different areas of the United States have many girlfriends. The catch,
however is that they are most all girls of her nationality. You will find
that your wife will seek out other girls from her own country...To see our

One thing you need to remember, It’s an adventurous, blissful experience
for you but other could view it as a mail order arranged relationship. “An
old guy looking for a pretty girl wanting to upgrade her life with a free
ticket bought by her beauty.” Maybe true in some cases and not true
in others. Still, in many instances you will be viewed in this negative manner.
As in the same negative remarks that are made about internet dating…
On the other hand, you will find no problem with men flocking over your new
bride as we all know that men are simply intrigued by a beautiful female with
a foreign accent, just as I was before I met my wife. She has encounters daily
by American men. The same lines “Where you from, how long have you been
here? Etc etc…” Your bride will also like the new attention that
they did not receive when in their country. Try to relax, and accept the extra
attention that they get. Remember, it’s your wife and they love you…
and better yet their character seems to be much more loyal than any American
woman that I have been in a relationship with.
FAQ: Do you fight with your bride?
ANSWER: Ever been married? If so, ever fight with your bride? Yes,
of course, any relationship will have disagreements. Unfortunately, it’s
a part of every relationship. How you deal with conflict will determine how

FAQ: How soon should we get drivers license and Social security cards?
ANSWER: Now, now, now!!! You need to start getting her Americanized
as soon as she gets here. Especially her drivers’ license which will
require a social security number without a social security number she can
not obtain a drivers license. . You will run into problems with the Department
of Motor Vehicles if she does not get her drivers license before her I94 expires
which is 6 months from the date that she enters the United States.
FAQ: Is your wife homesick?
ANSWER: Yes, very much. I have not found a real good antidote for this
except simply understand that in essence she has deleted her whole past. She
will miss her family and will cry for them. My wife was so homesick that I
sent her home twice the first year. This was a very good cure but you will
need to have the money to do this and be sure that you will not run into problems
with her travel before she gets her green card. There is risk on letting your
bride travel before she receices her green card. Be cautious. There is a travel
document that can be used for travel prior to her green card.
Encourage her to make contact via telephone and email and try and get a trip
arranged for some family to come out and visit.
